A Study on the Characteristics and its Effective Treatment of Hospital Wastewater


Abstract
The objectiue of this study to grasp the characteristics of hospital wastewater and to provide some criterions on its effectiue treatment.
.The fallowing conclusions were obtained as the result of this this study.
(1) Hospital wastewater systems should comprise separate drainage system beween domestic sewage, chemical wastewater, and radioisotope waste.
(2) The determination on the quantity of drainage normally can be on the basis of bed numbers in hospital, but other factors, such as the hospital scope, its speciality, and its facility should be considered.
(3) The recommended ralues of a standard load are within the range of BQD5 : 200^250 mg/l, and SS : 250-300mg/1
(4) The `storage-Dilution¢¥ method is effective in the treatment of RI drainage, and the recommended storage period is days when, dilution ratio is 10-15.
